Introduction
ERRA is pleased to announce the launch of the "ERRA Interns - Volunteers Programme (EIVP)". National and international students, graduates, academics and experienced professionals are invited to serve as interns and volunteers to contribute time, knowledge and skills to the post-disaster reconstruction and rehabilitation of the earthquake affected areas (EQAA) in Pakistan.

Working in both ERRA Headquarters and the EQAA for field assignments, participants will have a unique opportunity to make a significant and valued contribution to the organizational capacity of one of the largest and most important reconstruction and rehabilitation projects worldwide and further enhance their own expertise and experience. ERRA's projects involve twelve major programme sectors ranging from seismically-resistant rural housing, urban and town planning, building of public and community physical and social infrastructure to social protection of vulnerable groups and tourism development.

Participants in the EIVP will also have the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of ERRA stakeholders and communities to gain an in-depth understanding of the social change taking place.

Who Should Apply
ERRA invites students, graduates and experienced professionals from diverse industry and academic sectors from Pakistan and overseas, to apply for the EIVP based at ERRA Headquarters in Islamabad, Pakistan. Some interns and volunteers may be assigned to field operations. For those who are unable to travel to Pakistan, a limited number of on-line assignments are included in the programme as well.
